Over the years some parts of this web site (est. 1994) have become less popular. If this were the equivalent of a chain store, that section would have been razed and made space for something else, but as this web site is about Route 66 and quirky old stuff, I felt it was worthwhile to try to keep it alive and present it to you here.
- Facts about Route 66, now superseded by random facts appearing in the banner.
- Bike, used to have a list of places you could rent a bike, with a special deal to travel it on Route 66, but I know of no such deals any longer. I hope to revive this section soon.
- Travel Stories used to be a place where I kept travel stories and some were rather popular. Had a few that got removed due to copyright issues, and now largely surpassed in the forum.
- Guest Book: Since 1995 there was a way to give feedback in the guestbook. While it's much more modeled after what the Route 66 businesses have, constant vandalism is the form of spam plagued the guestbook till it got replaced by the forum. The archive of the messages with the spam thrown out and all links removed -many were pointed to nonexistent places anyway- is still available.
- Route 66 Web Master: Not obsolete actually, but most people aren't interested in this. Gives a few tools to assist other web masters.
