Eagle Hotel building / Attraction in Illinois
Established in 1836 the long closed hotel is one of the oldest commercial buildings on Route 66 in Illinois. David Lizer built it as a stage station and inn. Damaged by fire several times it has served as a hotel, a bank, warehouse, tavern, storefront and apartments.
