Anheuser-Busch Brewery / Attraction in Missouri
Located in the historic Soulard neighborhood of St. Louis, the largest and oldest of this company's brewery sites was selected based on its access to the Mississippi River. At the time of establishment in the mid 19th century St. Louis was home to the largest population of German immigrants in the United States. The natural cave formations near the brewery were used to store beer prior to the invention of refrigeration. The tour through the historic St. Louis brewery is rich in history.
