Bucket of Blood Saloon / Abandoned Place in Arizona
The year 1886 was a notable one for the cowboys that rode with the Hashknife outfit and the Bucket of Blood Saloon. According to local legend, there were 26 shooting deaths in Holbrook that year. Cowboys from the Hashknife outfit were involved in most of the gunfights. The Bucket of Blood Saloon was the scene of a brutal gunfight between members of the Hashknife outfit and a group of cowboys who accused them of stealing cattle. The Bucket of Blood had a reputation for violence. A painting from the saloon hangs in the local museum bearing two bullet holes from a target competition between two betting cowboys.
