El Rancho Hotel / Motel in New Mexico
Opening on December 17, 1937, this hotel was the headquarters for several companies that filmed movies in the area during the 1940s and 1950s. The mezzanine is lined with autographed photos of movie stars. The uniquely styled motel is a time capsule of the 1940s. The restaurant offers excellent Mexican food as well as authentic regional dishes including Native American options.
