Funks Grove Maple Sirup / Attraction in Illinois
Isaac Funk chose his location to establish a farm in 1824. He and his sons also made maple sirup and sugar. In 1891, Isaac II’s son, Arthur, opened the first commercial maple sirup farm at Funks Grove. Shortly before certification of Route 66 a roadside store was established. In recent years, the Funks Grove Maple Sirup store has expanded its line of merchandise to include maple cream, cookbooks, and Route 66 souvenirs as well as mail order to provide customers all over the country, and world, with maple sirup products.
