Keeley Institute / Attraction in Illinois
In 1879 Dr. Leslie Keeley established the first medical clinic for the treatment of alcoholism. The former Keeley Institute building was built in 1891 and remodeled in 1902. A notable feature is a series of stained glass windows depicting the five senses affected by alcohol designed by Louis J. Millet, a student of Lewis Tiffany.
