We are the longest-running auto repair on Route 66 having been in existence and in continuous operation since before 1929. I’ve asked, and Sandi and Paul have indicated through research and experts no one else knows of any other exists. We have been locally owned the entire time. I have a history board in our showroom with old pictures. We recently received the Mayor’s Proclamation for our 90 years’ of longevity and service to this community. We have a “resto-mod” Route 66 retro looking shop and I am always doing more to it to make it more attractive to the Mother Road fans. We have a beautiful neon sign. We also have the largest tire on Route 66, which people can stop and get their picture taken next to. It is a real tire that is used on equipment at the US Steel plant here in town, it’s roughly 12 foot tall and weighs about 8,000 pounds. We also have logo’d apparel and Route 66 memorabilia for purchase.
