Pedestrian Underpass / Attraction in Oklahoma
Built in the 1930s to facilitate safe pedestrian crossing of Route 66. In 2016, the City of Chelsea gave the pedestrian underpass a cleaning and commissioned artist Kenneth Hollingshead to start creating a historical Route 66 Pedestrian Underpass Mural. This mural pays tribute to historical elements of Chelsea, from a 1930s gas station to the Hogue House.
