Pioneer’s Rest Motel / Abandoned Place in Illinois
The Pioneer Rest Motel was built by Ernie Edwards sister Bonnie and her husband in the late 1940s. What started out as a few tourist cabins eventually were remodeled under one roof becoming a more modern motel. It closed in 1991
