The Museum Club / Attraction in Arizona
Dean Eldredge, hunter and taxidermist, built this two story log cabin around five Ponderosa pine trees as a museum to house more than 3,000 mounted animals and displays of artifacts including Native American crafts. It opened as the Eldredge Museum on Jun 20, 1931. After Eldredge's death in 1936 it was acquired by Doc Williams who sold most of the collection and transformed the building into a roadhouse. Don Scott, a member of the Bob Will's band purchased the building in 1960. In 1973 his wife Thorna died falling down the stairs. Two years later he committed suicide.
