Wisteria Cafe Mural / Attraction in Illinois
The Wisteria Cafe Mural in Atlanta Illinois on Route 66 was completed in June 2003. In the mid 1920s this cafe was well know for its cool ice cream soda, fresh cigars and candies. Using original advertising copy from The Atlanta Argus, Nancy Bennett of Centerville, Iowa designed the Wisteria Cafe murals. According to original advertisement, the Wisteria also specialized in Chicken Dinners Noon and Night During Fair Week Only 50 Cents.
